Autism is……… fashionable?
“Giving back is the new black,” according to Fashiontribes.com: Beyoncé is “fighting autism through fashion” via Clothes Off Our Back.
Does that mean that the usual “autism mother uniform” (machine-washable, stain-proof, quick-drying, rumpled. needing-to-be-washed) might be the next choice of the It Girl?

Well, the fashion forecast according to Brendan (when I consulted him as to whether he’d wear a pair of plaid, on sale shorts from Land’s End) is “Nerdy is the new black.” So, the plaid shorts got a big thumbs up… Personally, I think I prefer Brendan’s perspective, working with, rather than fashionably “fighting” autism…

camouflage is the new black, so far as I am concerned, it was the old black and the pot black and the kettle black, back to back too.

When you consider that “fighting autism” donations are being used for eugenics research, it might be more accurate to say that exterminating autistic people is fashionable.
Thanks for posting the link — I left a comment on Fashiontribes.

I wonder whether these celebrities know anything about the charities and issues they promote, especially when it comes to autism. Beyonce probably knows only what Cure Autism Now told her about autism and nothing else.

If I’m the new “It” woman (I refuse to be a “girl”), does that mean I get a wardrobe allowance? I could use some new shoes.

Emmanuel, I think that is likely—–black is the new black for me as it masks a coffee stain, a dab of ketchup…..

Coffee stain, ketchup…
Those black stains left on Elmo from the lava rocks on the floor of the gas-powered fireplace…
THAT took an extra spray of Oxi-Clean before Elmo’s re-wash….
Fortunately, the fireplace was not going, so Elmo survived with only topical dirt.
Now can we discuss the Mom wash-and-wear hairdo? ‘Cause we SURE don’t have time to do anything to it….
*snick* Don’t get me started. I’m lucky to be clean before we head out for the yellow school bus!

i don’t know if you just don’t know or you
chose to ignore. beyonce is not on some
high horse to show support of autism. she
has a son with autism!
i think it is sad because she is beautiful,
you all think she is shallow. her heart
is definitely into this charity, because
her heart has been torn apart by autism.

Beyonce doesn’t have any kids, autistic or otherwise. You must be thinking of Toni Braxton.
