Egnorance
Egnorance, the “egotistical combination of ignorance and arrogance” is the word of the day at Stranger Fruit. Evolutionary biologist John M. Lynch notes that egnorance was first coined by Burt Humburg to describe neurosurgeon Michael Egnor, a proponent of intelligent design.
There does seem to be more than a lot of egnorance in discussions about autism especially when it comes to topics like cause and cure………..One hopes, despite some vast differences of opinion, we can all keep talking to each other.

Presmissive- combination of presumption and dismissive. Used to describe someone who has an attitude that ANY attempt at finding causes for autism is a precursor to trying to a cure.
epidumiology- using an extremely broad grouping of a disorder that is not understood to clear very specific causations.
causceptance- ability to discover what and why autism happens; but still accept those with the disorder…

Curaecausative - one who acts, advocates, and so forth on behalf of (in search of) a cure.

I can’t think of any new terms this moment (too many math tests to correct), but I can think of ways to use “egnorance” in a couple of different contexts!
