TIME CHANGED—-I’m on XM Radio today @ 12.10pm (EST)

Today, Monday, 25th November, at 12.10pm (EST), I’m going to be interviewed by Tim Farley on POTUS ‘08, XM Radio’s presidential politics channel. I’ll be talking about the presidential candidates and autism.

    I hope you’ll mention that the vast majority of autistic adults are disgusted by Hillary Clinton’s pandering to the various cure factions, while completely ignoring the neurodiversity point of view. She would be a disaster as president!

    Oh no! I missed this update, tuned in at 12:30 and listened for a half hour before I thought about checking again. So sorry I missed the interview. How did it go?

    Sorry, the time kept changing and then I found myself speaking after Trent Lott’s resignation……. I pointed out that, while Senator Clinton’s autism plan is the most comprehensive of the candidates (and there does not seem to be on this issue among the Republican candidates), there can be more about (1) education and (2) autistic adults (including having one or some autistic adults giving regular input about autism legislation). I’m trying to see if the clip got archived…..

    Well, I dont think carley would be a good choice for the adult. and the only negative I think is that you support ABA.

    I am sorry I missed it. I had my presentation at the conference today.

    Only one negative! I will say, I see ABA as thoroughly imperfect, but it has helped us, in our situation. Other choices for adults?

    Teaching advocacy comes to mind. ABA sets up a lot of kids to grow up to be perfect victims, since it focuses on nonquestioning compliance.
