It’s not just enough to buckle up, it’s how you wear your seatbelt (from Science Daily).

I enjoyed — no, I appreciated reading the book “Rules”. It was hard on me because I oculd see my daughter in the narrator’s role. It’s been a hard life for her, with a disabled brother.

Our friends who visited this past week have a daughter who is a few years older than their autistic son. I could see how it has not been easy at all; I noted that our friends were insistent that she have her free time from attending to her brother, that she have her needs and requests met. And she and her brother had a great interaction: She seemed to be able to really appreciate him in his uniqueness, and guide him when he needed it. But it must not have been easy, for all.
