Snow Cake Trailer
Fittingly on a day when Charlie has a snow day, I came across the trailer for Snow Cake, in which Sigourney Weaver plays an autistic woman. You can watch it at Play.com (from which you can also purchase the DVD-Region 2 (will only play on European Region 2 or multi-region DVD players, so US viewers will have to wait). Comparisons to Temple Grandin’s “cow’s eye view of things may arise.

Saw Snow Cake today. A wonderful film, very well done and very interesting, sad, joyful, a film about life and people and their connections.
Sigourney Weaver is great as is Alan Rickman. I found the central theme of the film to be about, using a backdrop of autism, the human condition and about respect for all of our differences and similarities all in the same world. It’s a film about accomodations for everyone.
A great great film about humanity. Highly recommended.
