The Artistic Spectrum: This Week

by Kristina Chew, PhD on April 6th, 2008

The Artistic Spectrum is the name of an exhibition of artwork of young people aged 10-21 with an autism spectrum disorder. The exhibition will be held from March 19th to April 24th at the Jewish Community Center at 334 Amsterdam Avenue, at 76th Street in Manhattan. Today, April 6th, there’s a Family Art Day (from 10am - 2pm) and on Thursday, April 10th, there’s a Lit Café featuring writers on the autism spectrum:

My friend MothersVox and I will also be speaking; the MC for this neurodiverse event is blogger Kim Stagliano. I’ll be reading something from my very much in progress book.

Also: On April 16, comedian Elijah Wapner will perform and the MTV “True Life” series and Autism: The Musical will be screened, and there will be a Q & A session with director Tricia Regan.

Contact Beth Rosenberg for more details and hope to see you there.
